Assistant General Counsel - In House
Assistant General Counsel The candidate will provide legal advice, support, and coordination on very complex legal matters or projects with a high degree of independence. Will represent the company in very sensitive and visible litigation and administrative proceedings. Operate as a business partner to divisional leadership in order to meet executive level needs. Represent the company in interactions with applicable regulatory bodies and government agencies. Provide advice, training, and guidance to less experienced attorneys. May serve as a second to legal practice leader or specialty expert as needed.<p align=""justify"">The candidate should have a J.D. degree and a license to practice law in New Mexico. Must have 12 years of experience as an attorney, including 3 years of experience in a corporate law department or in private practice directly related to areas of legal practice within company's legal division. Should also have experience in a specialty area of health care law and/or insurance law. Must have experience working independently on complex legal matters. Should have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. Application Deadline: March 31, 2010.
