ABOUT US:
All our houses are made from teak wood. The furniture and accessories have been carefully and lovingly handcrafted in an antique style. Our resort is called the “Granary Resort” because of our houses are built in the authentic Lanna style of old rice granaries (storehouse). In the Thai language this style is called “Lhong-khao” or “Yung-khao”. These two storey houses are our guestrooms and are our way of keeping alive the beauty of our Lanna architectural heritage.
Imagine relaxing in a spacious guesthouse (approx. 40 to 50 sq. meters) and resting on a large, comfortable antique bed under a white canopy. Enjoy the view of our magnificent garden and the stately Ping River. And at night you will be enveloped by the tranquility of our natural surroundings and will be in a perfect harmony with nature.
Outside your guesthouse, you can partake in the pleasure of “The Granary Resort” at your leisure. Stroll in the lush, beautiful garden; smell the gorgeous orchids and many, many other varieties of Thai flowers. Lounge by our lovely swimming pool right next to the Ping River. And, of course, there is the delectable Thai cuisine served with a perfect wine under candlelight.
You are surrounded by the natural beauty of the mountains and the Ping River. You are home and you will never want to leave this magical place.
ROOM type :
A teak granary is a charming part of Lanna architecture – and it is a vital and passionate aspect of Lanna life. There are a total of nine granaries in the resort, and each one was built in a unique style. All designs and decorations are a reflection of the Lanna style of living. Inside each granary, there is a superbly comfortable king-size bed, together with fine white cotton curtains and gorgeous teak furniture. Our rooms are so large that we were able to include a reading corner and a private space of relaxation and meditation.
Outside the granaries, a feeling of calm and peace with the natural environment prevails. A gentle breeze, the Ping River and a multitude of flowers help one to archive a feeling of happiness and serenity in this most romantic of settings.
RIVER VIEW GRANARY
