Position: Developer Microsoft Reporting Services 2005
Location: OH
Duration: 6 Months
Project Description:
In support of ITIL based Professional Services Processes and applications, we are using several Microsoft products to provide business intelligence solutions. We are building on an existing SQL Server data mart, creating OLAP cubes using Analysis Services 2005, and developing reports and report models using Reporting Services 2005.
Duties:
 Effectively design, develop, debug, and implement Business Intelligence solutions using the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 BI Toolset
 Review report specifications and write revisions as necessary
 Develop custom reports to meet specifications
 Follow team standards for coding, code management, and metadata management
 Work with ITIL/PSP process owners and report users to identify opportunities for new reports or report enhancements
 Prepare both developer-level and user-level documentation
 Provide assistance with troubleshooting and maintenance of existing reports
Requirements:
 High degree of knowledge and experience with SQL language, including writing queries for optimal performance * Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 2000 or 2005 * Experience with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in creating Business Intelligence solutions
 Ability to rely on minimal instructions and follow pre-established guidelines for Change Management to perform the functions of the position
 Familiarity with OLAP Cubes and Star-schema concept (Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services 2005 is a plus)
Additional Knowledge and Experience Desired:
 Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Database * Microsoft Integration Services 2005
 Database modeling and design
 Peregrine * Knowledge of ITIL concepts.
