Database Administrator Location: NYC / White Plains (10601)
Our client, a Major Health Insurance provider, with offices headquartered in NYC, is looking to add a Data Base Administrator to the IT team. Normal amenities are provided (401k, Pension, Possible bonus, etc.). If you're interested, forward your resume and I will respond ASAP.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Administer DB2 UDB/Oracle Databases
· Manage Data Extract and Load Processes
· Perform Database performance Tuning
· Write SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers and Functions
· Perform SQL performance tuning
· Participate in Data warehouse / Data Mart and Meta Data Development
· Write Unix Shell Scripts
· Work with Business users and create reports
· Work with clients and understand, define and code data exchange requirements
· Train users on usage of Data Warehouse and reporting
Requirements
· College Degree
· 3 to 4 years experience
· Experience with Data Warehousing a plus
· Experience working on workflow systems a plus
· Proactive and energetic personality
· Open to new technologies and learning new things
· Previous Insurance Experience a plus
