Sr. Network Engineer (contract) LOCATION: Nassau County Long Island, NY (11050) Rate $45 to 55ph
Our client is a Major NY Retailer, due to expansion the following contract position is available. This could turn into a full time employee after six months. If you are interested please send your resume and I will reply ASAP.
Required skills:
* 5+ years hands-on experience with Cisco Router, Switch, Firewall, and Unified Communications technologies
Position requires hands-on configuration, design, installation, troubleshooting, and support of Cisco networks utilizing:
- EIGRP and BGP protocols
- Load Balancing and HSRP Failover
- TCP/IP
- MPLS, QOS, VOIP
- ASA Firewall Configuration and Intrusion Detection
- Application Acceleration and WAN optimization
- VLAN Configuration
* CCNP/CCDP or higher Cisco certification(s)
* Excellent team and customer interaction skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with Cisco Unified Communications.
Other Desired Skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows server operating systems
* 5 years experience administering and supporting Exchange environments; (working knowledge of Exchange 2003 preferred) .
* Experience with Cisco Unified Communications.
* Security certifications (CISSP, CSSP) ++
