This is a retained Executive Search; our client is a Major Domestic and International communications equipment company that provides product, system and service solutions for commercial and government customers. Job Description:
Primarily support our business units on high-profile IT, financial, and operational projects and/or tasks requiring work in a “get it done” mode. These tasks may vary in size and type (e.g., from system implementations and training to helping close the books).
Plan and perform/support audits of our IT functions (with over 400 employees and activities in several countries), with emphasis on assessment of internal controls.
Perform data mining of ERP systems (primarily, PeopleSoft and Oracle Financials) to continuously audit or assist selected financial functions to identify process improvements to implement.
Support Financial/Operational audit efforts, as assigned. These include cycle audits - revenue, disbursements, production, etc.
Help determine audit scope and direction, develop audit programs and budget estimates, and perform test procedures designed to analyze key IT systems and/or related operational/financial process controls.
Evaluate process and business systems effectiveness through the application of knowledge of financial systems, manufacturing operations, engineering, procurement and other functions.
Effectively interact with and communicate results to auditees and management at all levels (audit, business unit and senior management).
Prepare formal written reports and supporting workpapers documenting audit work performed, and expressing conclusions on control design adequacy and operating effectiveness.
Assist with the company-wide, annual web-enabled Internal Control Self Assessment (ICSA) process by reviewing questionnaire content, serving as ICSA liaison, analyzing ICSA responses and determining related audit follow-up activities. Provide occasional audit assistance to the external auditors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Accounting or related field.
7 years of IT audit Experience in Big 4 Public Accounting or comparable industry.
CISA or CISM required
Preferred Additional Skills:
CPA or CISSP preferred.
The ideal candidate will have a hybrid set of skills and experiences, including IT, accounting/finance, and sound business acumen. Experience working on process improvement projects is a plus.
Proven ability to lead IT and Financial/Operational audits and interface with all levels of management; working knowledge of COSO, COBIT and Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements and recent exposure to related projects preferred.
Strong understanding of systems and business process risks and related internal controls.
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft and Oracle Financials and Supply Chain, Windows Active Directory, Firewall and Unix Solaris, Oracle databases, and Microsoft Access preferred, and ERP implementation experience a plus.
Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Travel up to 50%, including international locations.
Multi-lingual skills, Six Sigma Certification, and experience with TQM and corporate governance are pluses.
