1934 Canadian Built Ford fordor Sedan
Description:
History on this car:
The car was built in Canada in 1934. The “C “stamp on the frame indicates Canadian Origin. It was purchased and transported to New Zealand. This car was on the cover of the New Zealand Hot Rod Magazine in the mid eighties. The stickers on the windows indicate it was part of the New Zealand Street Rod Association. It was shipped back to Sault Ste Marie Ontario, Canada in 1996. At that point the car had to be converted from right hand (New Zealand) to left hand drive.
The chassis was totally rebuilt from the ground up in1978 and a different body was put on in 1985.
The car was chopped 3 1/2 inches is filled with lead. The chop was done very professionally.
All steel body:
The body is all steel; however, fenders, grill shell, rear pan and running boards are fiberglass. (Fiberglass from Outlaw Performance)
Front suspension:
GM independent (coil over) unit with TRW rack and pinion steering. All overhauled with new seals, bearings etc. Suspension from a Holden car (New Zealand) which is the counter part of GM in USA
Rear suspension:
Ford 8" rear with Mazda B1600 leafs, 4:11 ratio
Lights:
Head Lights original all new, runs great with 350 Chevy & 700R4.
It has a 3rd brake light.
Fuel tank is original:
Treated with "anti-corrosion" and with a new sender
Steering column:
GM Pickup
The dash is glass:
VDO Classic gauges
Interior:
The car needs interior work.
