Assistant General Counsel Regulatory Responsibilities: Will report to K-Cs VP and Chief Compliance Officer. Providing counseling on the legal aspects of regulatory issues globally, with a particular near-term focus on North America; proactively counseling the businesses and staff functions, including Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA), with regard to laws and regulations that may impact K-C products and activities, in particular when they raise issues of interpretation, compliance, implementation or enforcement; developing regulatory strategy with appropriate stakeholders to ensure the best competitive advantage while identifying and minimizing any risk; serving as legal counsel in support of regulatory submissions, particularly in North America, and in support of communications with regulatory and enforcement authorities as needed; serving as legal counsel in the event of regulatory enforcement actions; advocating before regulatory agencies, including the FDA and EPA and regulatory authorities outside the United States, as appropriate; advising the businesses and other stakeholders on advertising and promotional claims and practices as determined or influenced by a products regulatory status; Counseling on compliance activities and systems, including Quality System regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices; otherwise create and develop the role of a legal-regulatory specialist globally.
