Handloom and handmade products for women - Kapaas Katha
Our objective is to hold hands of Indian weavers and artisans who work on different art forms like block priniting, kalamkari, bandhani and weaves like cotton, mulmul, kotadoria, chanderi, mangalagiri and others. There’s an enchanting tale to every piece of fabric woven by master artisans. Stories that breathe life into rich folk traditions that you choseto drape. At Kapaas Katha, we curate and hand-pick our pieces that reflect craftsmanship par excellence. Bits of fabric are pulled by the fingernails into many tiny bindings that are securely tied with thread at several points in the fabric. Based on the patterns the threads are secured and when untied, the fabric takes the form of an intricate and colorful design of dots of many sizes. Chandrakala, BavanBaug, and Shikari are some of the commonly known patterns in bandhani.
