The “Electric Vehicle Analysis” function acts as a decision-making tool for those considering a switch to an EV by analyzing whether the journeys they currently take could be completed with an electric BMW without the need for recharging. This tool is available to drivers who own a BMW with a combustion engine equipped with BMW Operating System 7 or later. By consenting to the use of their driving data, users can gain insights into how well an all-electric BMW would match their driving habits. To get started, drivers must select an electric BMW model as an alternative vehicle and then complete at least 200 journeys, covering approximately 1,250 miles in their combustion-engine vehicle. The app then analyzes this data to determine how many of those trips could have been completed with the selected EV without requiring a charging stop.
