By suspending the Indus Water Treaty, India has given a strong message to Pakistan that unless it permanently stops cross-border terrorism, it is not possible to move forward on the treaty. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said that the Kashmir issue can be discussed only with regard to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. India's changed diplomacy and policy of giving priority to national security is the main reason behind this decision. | |
