The minor accused in the Porsche car accident that took place in Pune on May 19, 2024 will not be tried as an adult. The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) rejected the petition of Pune Police on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. The police had demanded, That the 17-year-old accused should be treated as an adult and prosecuted. The board said that action will be taken against children in conflict with the law (CCL) only under the Juvenile Justice Act. On May 19 last year, a 17-year-old minor drove his father's Porsche car in Kalyani Nagar, Pune while being drunk. This car hit two IT professionals, Aneesh Avadhiya and Ashwini Costa, riding a motorcycle. This incident created a sensation across the country.  | |
