First death! Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: [All flesh bodies die once. This is the first death]. Second Death! Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. [Death of the soul is the second death. Who can destroy both soul and body? You get one guess. Which body in hell is being talked about in the above verse? What remains after our flesh body dies? See 1 Corinthians 15:40-58 for a more in depth explanation]. Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. [Those who overcome before the flesh dies do not experience the second death. The second death is mentioned in other verses also]. Those who overcome! 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? [Believers are over-comers. Also, see Revelation 2:26, 3:21 and 21:7]. What happens to those that don't overcome? See Matthew 10:28 again, Revelation 20:14-15 and Revelation 21:8 [these people continued in sin, they never truly repented. Sin separates us from God; see Isaiah 59:2]. Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. [There will be nothing in the eternity that causes the above problems; God destroys those things; blots them out. It will be as if they never existed]. When does the second death occur?
