United Airlines provides a customer-friendly cancellation policy with flexibility. Passengers can cancel tickets within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund if the departure is at least a week away. On most standard economy, business, and premium tickets, United has removed cancellation fees, replacing them with flight credits. These can be applied to future travel. However, Basic Economy fares are still nonrefundable and non-changeable unless canceled during the grace period. Travelers with refundable tickets are eligible for direct cash refunds. If United cancels your flight, you’re entitled to a full refund regardless of fare class. | |
