This is a KJV Bible study guide. John 16:2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. (Could the last 11 words of this verse be talking about current events? There are many millions, perhaps billions, of people around the world that think they are serving the one, true God. Are they deceived? Who are they actually serving? Definitely something to meditate on. What does Revelation 12:9 say? Who deceives the whole world)? Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them (In other words, actions speak louder than words. It is really easy to tell if someone is serving the one, true God or Satan). 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (It isn't God that causes fear and confusion). Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (We need to understand what a mere man can do compared to what God can do. Which is more important? Temporary, earthly things or eternal, heavenly things)? No need to be confused or afraid; put your trust in God, not man (Jeremiah 17:5 and 17:7). Keep studying my friends.  | |
